Message from the Inventor

"Our idea for the Higgins Hook™ came about by matching necessity with a simple idea," recalls Powell. "At our home, we wanted to go green, but disliked carrying, pushing, and even kicking the grungy 18-gallon recycling bins to the curb. Digging through the garage, I came across a heavy metal hook left over from a job and began using it to pull the bins. It wasn't too long until the neighbors noticed how easy that was and wanted some sort of reaching and pulling tool, too, and so we created the Higgins Hook™.

"In test markets, it quickly became clear that the Higgins Hook™ solved more problems than just the recycling bin dilemma," he says. "Customers were using the Higgins Hook™ to lift debris-filled skimmer baskets out of swimming pools, to pull their boats up to the slip, in over-the-road trucking, and more. The list grows virtually every day."
